1. Final Destination

Skopje, from where hunters will need between 1 and 3 hours’ drive to get to the hotel or hunting lodge.

2. Hunting Area

We have two well differentiated hunting areas. For the wolf hunt, the area we access is only 80 km away to the south from Skopje. With regards to the chamois hunt, our area is a National Hunting Reserve with approximately 24,000 hectares situated 3 hours northwest from Skopje. It has, without any doubt, one of the largest chamois concentrations in the country and produce some very good trophies every year.

3. Accommodation

Normally hunters booked for a wolf hunt will stay in a 3 or 4 star hotel close to the hunting ground. This makes everything much easier as hunters will normally come back from blind very late at night. On the other hand, hunters pursuing chamois will stay in a beautiful hunting lodge located at the foothills of the mountain, from where guest will be able to admire an incredible landscape, as well as enjoying the delicacies of the camp’s chef and good friend, Drago.

4. Hunting Season

Although wolves can be hunted throughout a longer period, we suggest hunts to take place between December and February as it will increase the chances to harvest a monster wolf. Also, at this time of the year they have a much better fur. Chamois hunting season runs from August 1st until December 31st for males and from October 1st until December 31st for females.

5. General Comment

The Republic of Macedonia is a fantastic destination for any international hunter. It was in 1993 when we first visited this country. Since then, we have personally hunted or sent hunters practically every year. Although Macedonia offers a wide spectrum of hunting possibilities, we are mainly focused on wolf and chamois hunts. These are both reference species for most international hunters.

The professionalism and dedication of the two outfitters that we have been working with for more than 20 years, as well as the excellent results achieved over this time are the best guarantee and has motivated us to keep on visiting such a great country.

Chamois hunts, which take place in one of the largest and finest National Hunting Reserves is designed for two-three hunting days depending on whether the hunter is willing to take one or two trophies. This area has a healthy chamois population and unless there is an issue with bad weather, there should not be any problem in getting things done smoothly. The mountain range where the hunt is conducted, which is part of the Balkan Range, is not difficult and any hunter in slightly good physical condition will be able to access the mountain regardless of the age of physical capabilities. The hunting guides are very professional and being in the outdoors with them is truly a privilege for any mountain hunter.

Wolves are hunted from a comfortable blind where they are baited. Hunters will normally seat in the afternoon and will remain at the blind until de wolf decides to come in, if he decides to show up! The hunting program includes 3 nights and although it cannot be guaranteed, the success rate is almost 100% through the months of December to February.
